At this Summer Salon we will tackle the question of whether or not we have free will, and if we do, to what degree, etc. In addition to articles from The New Yorker and The Atlantic, along with some academic writing, we’ll be reading Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut and a short story by Ted Chiang (a sci-fi writer whom Obama likes).
